Recall that Baldock was found unresponsive in his swimming pool at his home in Greece on Wednesday.

The death of George Baldock, the former Premier League star, has been confirmed by his family.

They say they are in ‘shock’ at the terrible loss of the former Sheffield United defender.

“We can confirm that George has sadly passed away,” A brief statement from the family read (via Metro UK)

“As a family we are in shock at this terrible loss. We ask please that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

Recall that Baldock was found unresponsive in his swimming pool at his home in Greece on Wednesday.
