FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has been lambasted by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Jigawa State.
The party was reacting to the recent allegation against the former Governor of Jigawa State and one of the founding fathers of the party Sule Lamido by the Northern Youths Movement, NYM.
This follows an alleged sponsored article titled 鈥淵ou were part of the rebellion against PDP in 2014鈥� linked to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike.

A statement signed by the leader of the group in Jigawa, Muhammad Mago, condemned the article as a blatant misrepresentation of facts, designed to portray Dr Lamido in a negative light and attributed the alleged smear campaign to Nyesom Wike, accusing him of working to destabilize the PDP.
Muhammad Mago claimed the statement by the so-called and perhaps not existing NYM and its Chairman, 鈥渋s a malicious attempt to tarnish Dr Sule Lamido鈥檚 reputation.鈥�
Wike鈥檚 actions, Mago argued, demonstrate a pattern of 鈥淒raconian politics鈥� and disloyalty to the PDP, adding that the minister has abandoned the party and is now working with the APC, having accepted a ministerial position.
Mago claimed that Dr Lamido is hailed as a true nationalist and political icon, noting that being a founding member of the PDP he has consistently supported the party鈥檚 success.

Mago emphasized that Dr Lamido will not engage with Wike鈥檚 alleged provocations, as he remains committed to national interest above personal gains, adding that Dr Lamido鈥檚 radical posture has always prioritized national interest, making him a respected leader.
Another baseless claim raised by the NYM statement, according to Mago is that Sule Lamido imposed his son, Mustapha, as the PDP candidate in the last gubernatorial election.
He clarified that Mustapha earned the nomination through his own merit and rigorous campaigning.
The group urged the public to disregard the malicious article and recognize Lamido鈥檚 unwavering dedication to the PDP and national progress.
