Hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams has slammed celebrities making public political endorsements.
He spoke ahead of the presidential election in November.
Williams disclosed that he鈥檚 apolitical and gets annoyed by his colleagues making public political endorsements.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for],鈥� he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Speaking further, the producer said the opinions of most of the celebrities endorsing candidates for the election were unsolicited.
鈥淭here are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them. I鈥檓 one of them people [who says], 鈥榃hat the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you鈥�,鈥� he said.
Recall that a cross-section of American celebrities including Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, and a host of others have publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, has also scored pockets of endorsements from billionaire Elon Musk, Blac Chyna and others.
