Edo Polls: NAF Begins Airlifting Of Election Materials Ahead Of September 21

This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to guarantee the prompt and secure delivery of essential materials required for the effective execution of the elections.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has resumed the transportation of election materials for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections scheduled for September 21 in Edo State.

On Wednesday, a statement released by Kabiru Ali, the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, indicated that this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to guarantee the prompt and secure delivery of essential materials required for the effective execution of the elections.

According to him, the exercise demonstrates the collaboration between the force and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, Edo State (INEC).

He said, “The airlift operation demonstrates the collaboration between NAF and INEC, aimed at facilitating logistics and ensuring a peaceful election process in Edo State.â€

Earlier, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, during a recent meeting with the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, reiterated NAF’s commitment to providing airlift for the swift movement of electoral materials.
